I will be hatching red golden pheasant eggs soon. And have doing a lot of research on red goldens. I was a little surprised it takes a full 2 years for the males to come into color. Is it true it takes that long? Does anyone have a photo of a male that is just 1. Year old?
Thanks so much for any Input.

Yes, it takes them 2 years to get their adult plumage. They are fertile the first year. There are pics in previous posting of year old birds.
