My blue silkie roo, Bhút Jolokia, is about 5-7 months old… I lost track, but he’s been acting like an adult rooster, he’s been mounting my hens (besides the time Wolf leaned forward and dumped him off 😂) but I’m not sure if the eggs will actually be fertile, he’s been a little rough with a few of them and even going after my 3 month old Pavlovskaya (can’t want to hatch hers and Kia’s eggs but too soon)
Is it possible the others are fertile? Most of the hens are his age but one is a year older

Some may be fertile and others not. Sounds like he's still getting the hang of mounting the girls and might not always hit the target. You can always crack a raw egg open and look for a bullseye. It's not always accurate but it can give you an idea.

I’ve heard of that, but will they only show up on an egg that is already at least a day incubated or is that for any fertile egg?

How long have these pullets been laying? They may be more of a question than the cockerel. You can hatch pullet eggs, but you tend to do much better if you wait until the pullet has been laying for at least a month before you set her eggs. There are different reasons for that.

If the pullet has been laying for at least a month and that cockerel has been mating some of them for a few weeks at least some of the eggs are probably fertile. If you can tell which eggs were laid by the same pullet, if one is fertile the others probably are.

Well yes I don’t plan to hatch for awhile but I’m trying to find ways to be positive Kia is able to fertilize all my hens eggs, he’s scared of too of my hens.
The old ones are 1, 2 and 3-4 years old the youngers only a few are laying, roadrunner has been laying for almost over a month and crow a few weeks, the other 10 haven’t started yet.

It’s been almost two or three months for Kia, he also crows.. all day every day, my old rooster did that too, maybe it’s a free ranging thing
