First time duck owner and was wondering if I could use lime in my duck hut? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I use Barn Lime in my coop and have never had any problems. Avoid other types of lime like hydrated lime, as it can burn the skin and cause respiratory irritation in the birds lung. So can normal barn lime, but it's unlikely if you spread it down when they're not in the coop, and so as long you have plenty of ventilation in the coop.

I just reread this, and I meant barn lime can cause respiratory irritation if used improperly, as far as I'm concerned it can't burn the skin.
