The other day I was eating a bologna sandwich and I threw a few bits of it down and thought they would eat the bread, but they went for the bologna then fought for more. so I sliced a piece real thin and gave it to them and they LOVE it ! So I have been giving them left over crumbs of meat. I guess it wouldn't be a lot different than the protein in bugs/worms etc. Of course they don't have MSG and other preservatives. Any one else do this?

I was told it encourages cannabalism (sp) Not saying I feel that way but i wont take any chances.

I have the same trouble with my girls. Mine love ham, hotdogs but what they really go for is cheese. Is this safe?

I gave mine the scraps that I had left over from making some chicken stock from a cut up chicken. They didnt' want anything to do with it. Looked at me like I was crazy. They did however go crazy for the maggots that appeared on what was left of the scraps about 3 days later when I raked the coop.

Our chickens kill and eat mice and frogs if they see them

I'd love to teach mine to be mousers! Our cat died last year and the mice feel too safe
