Is Meyer hatchery a good one to order from?

I was thinking of maybe ordering some chicks from Meyer hatchery so that I could pick what breed I want. I was wondering if they are good and if anyone has any warnings about them. I am curious if their chickens are healthy because I don’t want to have to deal with any health issues. Any tips or warnings would be very helpful I have read a few other threads on here and they seem good but wanted to make one of my own just to make sure.

They'll refund if they sex your birds wrong, & send replacements if any die during shipping.

I also thought I would add that I only have a small flock and if I decide to order some I will only order a few.

Check their web site. I don't know if they charge an extra fee for small orders; some hatcheries do. Some require minimum orders of 15 birds. You might could go in with a friend if you don't want that many. I think Mt Healthy will do small orders but don't quote me.

Meyer is an excellent hatchery! Obviously as you order more birds shipping costs go down, but there's no small order fee. I ordered from them earlier this year and am very happy with how things went

Meyer has fantastic customer service and they are quick to refund if you do have a problem. I have placed small to very large orders from them. I always get very healthy chicks compared to other hatcheries I have used. In fact, I don’t even bother with other hatcheries because I know with Meyer I am going to get healthy lively chicks and as good quality for hatchery birds that I can get.

All good to know! Do you know if their Orpingtons are healthy? I had one who had water belly in the past and i don’t want to go through that again.
