Hi! I have a month old baby chick who I'm a little concerned about. She is fully feathered, and has five sisters. Usually, the chick is very peppy and skittish, but today she starting being droopy. She has some clear liquid build up at her beak, which was dripping out at first and now is just in her mouth. She spends lots of time on her roost as well. The chick has no other symptoms, and she had a dust bath with the others just about an hour ago. The others also seem fine. So far, I fed her some electrolytes through a syringe, just a few drops, and the juice from a garlic, ginger, basil, and black pepper mash the same way. I've checked, and her poop is a normal color though a little runny. (This may be because she pooped right after I fed her all that liquid). She and her sisters are six chicks in an 8 square foot brooder, with medicated chick crumbles and the occasional treat. I plan to move them out sometime in the next two weeks, as we are waiting on some supplies to put finishing touches on the chicken run. Also, I will continue the electrolytes and mash with her every two hours for the next few days. Any ideas on what this is or what I can do? Thanks! If it's important, we are having a sudden heat wave, the temperature has risen 25 degrees overnight.
