yesterday i fed my chicks and all were healthy and happy. an hour later i go in to freshen their water and one of the chicks is laying on its side with its head cocked sideways. its head just drooped when i picked her up. i left her in the brooder overnight thinking i would find her dead this morning. well, she lived but now her head has done a complete 180! her head is now backwards facing! her breathing is normal so is her peeps and her eyes are clear. im confused as to what to do with her! i want to put her down bcuz she cant eat or drink and i definatly dont want her starving to death. any advice will help. thank u!

Sounds like wry neck to me, I've never dealt with it yet, but maybe someone will post, or you can look up "Wry neck" on the search.

i looked up wry neck and that sounds exactly like my chick. thank u so much for the advice. anyone who may have some treatment options???

Taken from wiki it suggests stretches. I'm not sure how you'd go about doing that with a chick. Also suggests the cause could be an ear infection. Have they had their shots?

"Initially, the condition is treated with physical therapies, such as stretching to release tightness, strengthening exercises to improve muscular balance, and handling to stimulate symmetry. A TOT Collar is sometimes applied. About 5–10% of cases fail to respond to stretching and require surgical release of the muscle. [2][3]"
