Is my coop to small?

I have 13 chicks about 7/8 weeks old. Not finished with the run yet but, I lock the dogs up and let them run in the back yard for alittle bit. Just worried it’s not big enough. The nesting boxes will be moved to another spot when the start laying. It’s in the works. Any advice?

About 5ft deep and about 8ft wide 6.5 tall

When they're adults, there will be room for 10 as long as they have a run during the day

The coop seems big enough to me. But the run space is rather small.
The chickens don’t need much inside space if you live in a mild climate. So where do you live? How cold is you’re winter?

Generally speaking it is recommended to have 4sf of floor area (excluding nesting boxes) per bird.

My own coop does not adhere to this rule despite having large breed brahmas (15 birds in 32 sf). But i free range so they are only inside to sleep. I have no issues.

any bantams in there? all standard size?

Of course it also depends on the breeds you have. Bantams require less space. And 13 easy going chickens less then flocks with lots of differences in temperament.

So what kind of chickens do you have? Only hens?
