Is My Hen Getting Ready To Lay Eggs?

Ok, I let my Hen free range for a little bit and I was just sitting there to watch it. I then noticed that it kept on digging grass and trying to sit where the grass was dug. I went up to it and it made a circle of dirt by digging the grass. Now it just sits there and makes wierd buzzing noises... Anyone have an idea of what its doing and why?

Are you sure it's not trying to dig enough dirt up to dustbathe??? Sounds like the same behavior my girls do when they are dustbathing outside....

It does roll in the circle of dirt..... It probably is dustbathing.

What about just keeping cool. I see my girls do this and cuddle in the same hole and I imagine it's pretty cool in the dirt hole they've made.
