I have a blue cochin bantam that went broody about 10 days ago. (She hatched 3 chicks in the fall and was a good mother for the first time so) This time she went broody in a new coop so I moved her back to the smaller coop by herself to brood. We don't have a rooster so I got fertilized eggs from a neighbor like last time.
However since I moved her to the new (old) coop she seems to be "half" broody. Will sit on the eggs half the time and acts like she wants to get out the other half, especially when the other chickens walk by. I have had her in the separate coop for about 1 week now, but she is starting to lay eggs again!
Is she still Broody? Will these eggs hatch? or should I try to break her?
