My family decided to get 6 chickens around Easter and now I think one of ours is a rooster. (Hoping not, because we'll have to get rid on him-we live in a neighborhood) Trying to get some opinion because I don't know a thing about chickens! Poppy is thought to be an Isabella Leghorn or a Prairie Bluebell. (She was mixed in the box at Tractor Supply with another breed by accident and we didn't realize it until she was a little older so I contacted the hatchery so see what the breed may be). She is about 8 weeks old. So far no crowing but I've been told it may be a bit early for that, if Poppy is a rooster.
