Is Purina flock raiser all right to feed to chicken hatchlings?

^^^ why there is no "one size fits all" solution. A good reminder for all of us. Purina does, btw, make a medicated Flock Raiser - but I've never seen it on the shelf.

I've never seen it either... On a physical shelf or online on TSC's website. They're all around the same price though, and same protein percentage, so I don't know if having medicated flock raiser would've made any difference for me. Either way, my formula is still "feed something medicated at first, then go to regular flock raiser".

The start & grow I had gotten was only 18%.

I start with non-medicated. I use soil to acclimate at an early stage. No one size.

Haven't seen a Purina starter at 20% for years.
