Is sevin the same as eight....

I have a bag of "Eight", the new improved "Sevin" I assume......will this be adequate to have on hand in the event of a mite infestation? Or do I need to find sevin? I am almost scared of the trolls for asking this question....hopefully someone has some first hand experience with it.

I never heard of it. But if using Sevin, make sure it's 5% and not 10.

it says to remove pets and birds before dusting with it so I wouldn't.

Wish I could find 10% Sevin. It was perfect for mixing in the dust bathing areas. 5% seems a little bit weak for that.
