My Light Sussex has started laying and is making an egg every 36 hours, pretty regularly

She is not significantly bigger than the 2 Wyandotte banties and nor are her eggs any bigger than theirs. Does this mean she is a bantam too? Or can I expect her to grow into a Big Bird still?

My Marans was much bigger than her when she started laying at the end of November and I would say she was pretty much full grown...

I don't mind her being a bantam, but I would like more than one of my flock to make large sized eggs

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Here you see Angelina, the Light Sussex with one of the Wyandotte Bantams. Her neck is a little longer but she is not significantly bigger. Both started laying within a week of each other

Here you can see the Marans as well as the others for a size comparison

These are today's eggs: A Wyandotte Bantam, a Light Sussex, another Wyandotte Bantam, and on the far right a Marans egg which is pretty much normal sized
