Hello,

My kiddos said they heard the beginnings of a cockle doodle do…. Miss Nugget is almost 15 weeks old… any thoughts?

Miss Nugget is without a doubt a pullet (female specific coloring). Any other possible suspects?

I agree, she is a pullet. Some hens crow sometimes, though not very common.

Your little one is a pullet. And hens can crow! I have a girl that sounds like a off-brand rooster that loves to crow every morning and sometimes at noon. And the hen is a Legbar which seems to be a part in the genetics of your pullet (the small crest your pullet has).
