This is my RIR who is 3 months old! I’ve posted about her before, but there was some doubt about if she was a pullet.

I hope she is old enough to say one way or another! What do you think? Pullet or cockerel?

TIA! :)

100% Pullet. Rhode Island Reds are one of those breeds where the hens have larger combs and wattles compared to many other breeds. When they are young a RIR pullets combs and wattles will also be larger than other pullets. Her comb is still on the pale side and if she were a cockerel her comb and wattles would be double their size now along with being bright tomato red.

Ok great! Thanks so much!

Can I see a picture of her back, I think she's a pullet, but any male feathering would start to show now. Can we take a look? :)
