Hello, I noticed alot of you give yogurt to your birds. I was wondering if Soy yogurt was Ok to give? We have milk allergies here, but we always have soy products on hand. Thanks..

Hi,

I don;t know but I don;t see why not. I give yogurt but only as a treat.

I can see no difference with Soy Yogurt really.

Jena.

large amounts of soy will cause eggs to taste and smell fishy.

soy can be eaten by chickens, if processed correctly, it is in feed, but extra soy will result in a 'foul fowl' odor/taste.

Thank you Mis Jayne,

I didn't know about Soy being in feed.

Hmmm so I can see why it would affect the smell... lol.

I give organic yogurt but just a small amount once a week as a treat.

Jena.

Thanks.. I will just have to buy them regular yogurt. We don't want any "funny" smells
