Is the first (and most persistent) chick to fly out of the brooder male?
Picture, (Essie, Shoulder chicken) the most friendly, brave, exploraotry chick, responsible for a8ll t8ypos int this post becausehe/she is walking across the keyboard and pecking at keys, most likely MALE? hj

So, this thread may become unravelled as I am allowing Essie to keep him'/her typos as they occur. Maybe that could be wine.

All of my brooder jumpers turned out to be hens. Even with the guineas the main trouble makers are the females. When my rooster chicks arrive next week we'll see if any of them turn out to be escape artists.
