I feed my laying pullets layer feed crumble. But the guy at the grain elevator gave me the same feed but in pellet form. Is there a difference in the two?

The mill my feed comes from only makes pellets, they crush it into crumbles for large scale production houses. It is the same ingredients and feed.

I switched my chickens over from crumble to pellet. The crumble was more dust than crumble it seemed. And, it was time to switch from grower to layer. Seems to be less waste with the pellets. It is more of a choice/supplement though as they roam the yard and woods all day selecting the choicest bugs and greens.

They do like their treats though. They love the heels of a loaf of bread, grapes quartered, and dehydrated meal worms.
