Is there a basic draft of the steps. With all of this information it seems like a great site like this would have a way to compile a basic list of things to do and gather up before it gets to the SOS stage of "I have a court date" or "Appearing before the city Council". If there is such a document or post can it be a permanent post at the top of this section to help everyone? I am just trying to help my brother to get everything rolling so he can have chickens.
I read the sticky about free legal advice and I have to say my chickens are more of a hobby/pets and I don't think lawyer fees would have made it a hobby or a reality in that case. I was hoping for a outline before you go to the lawyer phase because frankly I think that is where the fight would end for me. Luckily we live in a rural township and we had enough land to make it a non-issue. How far my brother would go I am unsure but there has to be a starting point. Looking at the ordinance in his town it looks like he has a window open to get chickens but needs clarification from his city. Thanks.
