Im hatching runner ducks never had a issue before but this year I have had allot of backwards piping. Have been able to help most out. Is there something I missing. This hatch is 21 out of them I see 7 have piped on the wrong end. When I pealed the last hatch back there air cell was still in tact. There making a big enough pip to get air so I widen it for them. Then wait to help them out.
Any thoughts,

Can you candle one of the eggs and get a clear picture real quick?
A clear picture of where they are pipping?

I candle them and the air cell is on the other side. The only way I know were there beak is is when they make the pip. Is there something Im doing wrong thats causing them not to turn correctly

What are you doing?

same thing I do every year. Cabnet battor 40-50 percent humidity, Daily cool down after day 6, Day 24 in the hatcher 60-70 percent humidity. Lock down when I see the first one internal pip.

How many times a day are the eggs getting turned?
How are they getting turned? Hand turn?

Can you take a picture of one that has pipped on the wrong end of the egg...while you are candling it?
