Be interesting to know if there is any body from New Zealand who have joined BYC.
Anyway we have 2 chickens Rosie a Hyline and Daphene a Brown Shaver.
Each have there own little personalities.
To start with they used to fight and peck at each other and now after nearly 2 weeks they really get on.
They do every thing together, where one goes the other ones not far behind..
They just love human contact..
I am going have to build them a bigger Coop we got them in 2 small coops at the moment.
We let them wander around the back yard when we can, they love digging around the bark chips and they really love sun baking in the dirt.
Had to fence of the vege garden because the girls think its their own Super market to look at and sample the Veges.
They are real delight to have and are spoiled rotten with the ' Treats' we give them.
I have found 'BYC' has wealth of information,.
There is so much to learn, but we are getting there.
I would most certainly recommend ." BYC" to any one new to having chickens.
