Is there any way to cure eggbound?

If a hen is eggbound, is there any way to cure it? (I don't have a hen thats eggbound, just wondering if you can save the hen)

you can try warm soaks to pass the egg..

or lubing the vent.

but from everything I have read on here if they have a problem being egg bound its going to be a repetitive thing..(unless the egg was just a large one and it may be an isolated incident)
