I had two chicks with cocci. One has passed and the other is still holding on. The chick will not eat or drink. I have been feeding it the medicated water through syringe. I can syringe yogurt but can a bird thrive on just yogurt and water? What else should I do? I'm at a loss here. This is my first batch of chickens and man...

Oh and they have been on medicated feed in case that helps. OH and it's about 3-4 weeks old.

Coccidiosis damages the gut, so you are not aiming at a diet that will turbocharge your chicken just yet, unfortunately, but just one that is mild to digest and will do no further harm.

It sounds as though the things you are doing are wise, and I do hope your chicken pulls through. I'm sorry you have had such a rough time with your first chooks. I hope you will have many more, and that they will be robust and happy for you.
