Is there such thing as too much electrolytes for baby chicks?

Chick are like babies. Eat, sleep, poop. Lethargy is relative.

If you don't have space for electrolytes and the water, put properly mixed electrolytes in a ramikin or a small measuring cup and put water in your waterer. But I don't think you really need to offer electrolytes. And, to answer your original question, yes you can give chicks too much electrolytes. That's why they need water as an alternative. An ounce of prevention is only worth a pound of cure if the prevention prevents the problem. This prevention could create a problem.

Oh I see. Did you get the heatlamp situated? If I remember you were going to raise it and/or move it a little so it wasn't overheating them.
Yeah. It's now at a steady 90-95 degrees in there and they don't seem tk be that bothered with the temperature now. Considering dumping the water and replacing it with plain water, as they are doing a lot better and are not as lethargic as before.

Mixing a full gallon of electrolyte for seven chicks is alot of water. It will be stale with the heat of the brooder in no time. I o my give the electorate vitamins for the first couple days.
I always use a chick waterer with the Mason jar. They make them plastic now for a couple dollars. It will take up much less space in your brooder and dumping it for fresh water daily is ideal.
Save your gallon waterer for when they are much older.

Oh that’s good! Yeah and remember each week they can go down 5 degrees. Other people have given you good advice about watching their behavior, and you are obviously doing everything you can for them. I wish you great luck with your flock!
