Some patterns have a gene that causes the females to have the salmon colored breast and the males to have red on their shoulder area. So yeah with some patterns it is an indicator of gender but not every bird that has red on its back is automatically a male.I thought they are a pullet because the comb is not very large, but the wattles are throwing me off. Someone said all the brown means it’s a rooster, but is feather color really an indicator of gender? I don’t know, I’m not experienced with this breed unfortunately.
