My husband pick up 4 chicks about 5-6 weeks ago. I thought it was 3 red sex links and 1 black, but the black one is really small. I didnt think they were that small but could be wrong.

Here is an older pic of her. She used to be bigger than my EE, who are a week younger, now she is about the same size.

I am thinking a SLW but I can't really see the comb. Could she possibly be sick, the way she is standing and being so much smaller, is she eating? Her crop looks large from the picture, does it feel hard?

What is a SLW? I noticed a couple of weeks ago she did not seem as active as she used to. But she is eating a drinking fine. When I take them outside she runs around. One of my chicks died last week from what I believe was cocci, but this black one has been like this for 3 weeks or so. Her crop is not hard, she is just really fluffy right there.

Is Sulmet for for cocci? They have been on stuff for that. The other one that was sick is acting fine now. I have had the worst time with this batch of chicks, I have never had this many problems. I just had to separate the black one because she was getting squashed by the bigger ones when they get excited.

Sulmet is an antibacterial for cocci, coryza, and some other things. It's like 10 bucks for a bottle of liquid, and you just use a tiny bit for 2 days. It's a good thing to have on hand anyway. I had a chick like that from a hatchery order a few years back- about the same age as yours. I was sure she was a goner- but she came back full force and caught up with the the girls. Hope she perks up for you!

Sulmet is what I have been giving them. They have been getting it for about 4 days. My other sick one perked up, but the black one hasnt. Thanks for the help!
