I have 15 Cornish cross chickens that will be two weeks old tomorrow. I have one chick that is significantly smaller, but is eating and drinking. I will post pictures through my phone so that you can see the size difference and difference in feet. Is it possible that this is not a pure cross, and if so what could this be?

Watch the feet...

There's always a runt or two in every batch we get. The last batch I had a real crazy one, it had huge legs and feet and a tiny little body at 3 weeks.

It certainly looks like a different chick, everything looks different. The beak, body shape, legs all look different. I'd give it another week they have a fairly good jump in size from week 2 to 3. Sometimes you get a real tiny one.

I can tell you from experience of your going to move those birds outside in to tractors or whatever and that chick is a CX, cull it before hand. They never seem to make it, they can't handle much change like a cold night.

I just had one that I had to cull. It's body was the same as the other 2 week old chicks but its feet were tiny. It broke its leg and was unable to walk.
