Ginger has always had that little bit of fluff on the back of her neck since the day she arrived. Do some ducks just have a little fluff or is she crested? I thought the crest had to be on the head but today it just made me curious as I am reading other threads where the crested ducks need to be protected.

I don't know but from what I've learned on here a crest forms because the skull of the bird hasn't closed correctly. So, if your duck has this on her neck that doesn't really have the skeletal structure like the skull that doesn't make sense to me. @casportpony will probably know.

She just has her own half neck muff. Makes her unique. Hey @quackiemama did you ever order any ducklings?
 No I have not. I tore some muscles and a tendon last weekend in my back and shoulder so I thought I might need to hold off just a little bit longer. The hubs is building his quail pen now and I would need to make some modifications to the duck house and run so I thought I would let him finish so he can help me since I will not be doing much of anything for a spell. I keep forgetting that I am not a young little lassy anymore! But I am dying for some new babies.
