Is this a Easter Eggers???

Easter eggers have only 2 standards
1. Be mixed breeds
2. Have the blue egg gene
If the hens lay colored eggs, then yes, they're easter eggers. If not, then they aren't easter eggers. Simple as that
In any case they certainly are barnyard mixes and cuties

Thanks here's more pics
That's really looking like a young cockerel with a comb that big at apparent age/size...and that looks like wing bars.

If you need another roo, I think you got one. :)

No idea knowing with his lineage being obscured, but the blue shell gene often follows the pea comb (it's close to the same location on the DNA strand). You *might* have a blue shell gene in this boy which means if you breed him over your girls, you *could* get some of your own barnyard mix "Easter Eggers."

If your boy has the blue shell gene, he will pass that along 50% of the time. You'll know which daughter gets the gene as she will lay either blue or green. If you put blue gene over a dark brown shell layer...you get OLIVE (my favorite project).
