Is this a fertile development or are we seeing things?

I took pics and marked them up just in case we really do see what we think we see so we can make a little picture book. (We are for sure crazy chicken people and this is our first incubator batch). We are one day 5 today. Today I swore I saw a little black but I couldn’t take a picture because my husband was gone and I wasn’t risking dropping the egg. I’ll update when he can help with a new picture.

you say youre on day 5, but the photos are on day 3, and two right?
Its great you have one with veining! I cant tell from the photo, since its dark, and blurred, but thats really good! Sometimes it doesnt show up so well on camera.

For the other eggs pictured, could you get updated photos? Whether we can see development or not, it really is easier to wait to see signs of life after day 5, and personally I keep the eggs in until day 10 before discarding. By day 10 its easy to tell.

My camera does suck so bad but I finally got it dark enough in the house to see this! I just don’t see the embryo dot like all the online threads show. Is that normal?

That's normal, You usually see the embryo, but sometimes you dont until theyre bigger. Depends on the thickness of the shell and how the baby is positioned. Isnt always clear.
Congrats on that one!
What about the others? Any signs of life?

oh okay, so it also has this weird air sac. Is that normal? All the others have nothing so far, I think they are all duds :/

The air cell doesn't look too bad. It may change close to hatch when it begins to draw down. See how it goes.

As for the others, it'll be much clearer around day 10, by then you'll know for sure if theres life growing.
Good luck!!
