I found this coop on ebay and I don't know if it is worth it when I know that I will want to build a larger coop eventualy but don't have the time/money to do it this year the way I want to eventually make it. So what is your opinion? I don't have any chickens at this point, still just hoping. Thanks in advance.

If you could dedicate one weekend, buy stuff friday, build frame saturday, and finish sunday, you would save 200+ dollars. I don't think that includes shipping. That's a crappy deal. Even if you use make a triangle tractor that is 2x4's and osb with a OSB roof, prime it paint it and have a run it is better deal than that since you plan to build a better one.

I agree that that is not a very good deal, I tend to look at the materials and how difficult is was to build. This one seems like it was made from an old small dog house and some 1"x2"s . it is not very preditor proof and just looks shabby. sorry but if you ask me stevie Wonder could do a better job and so could you. PASS on this one.

Just another e-bay ripoff, Just don't want to see any BYCers get taken for a ride.

check for dog houses on craigslist and build a little run.

sure hope you find something that works perfect for you.

I built one similar to the one picture. I just covered about 1/3 of one end, put a door at the end to get into the hen house area and two flip open doors on the other end. It's not that pretty because it was made from scrap wood but it didn't cost that much.

NONO...you would be tossing your money away! I have seen AWESOME coops and tractors on BYC that people have built with free lumber or even from stuff they have just laying round the yard!! Or stored in a garage! No need to purchase something like that plus pay postage !
