I would get the model with a fan.

Circulated air models work much better than still air. They don't run too much more in $$, so spend the extra and your hatch results will be notably better.

I got the genesis this spring, with fan and turner. It is so steady temp wise, and makes your life so much easier. The additional cost is not such a big deal if you are going to be hatching a lot of eggs. If you are just going to do this a few times,i would recommend a less expensive bator, or even if you are handy a home made one, it is really rewarding to hatch chicks out that way.

I have a Genesis 1588 and I love it. It keeps temp and humidity. And the hatch rate is good. All I have to do is plug it in, add eggs, then wait 18 days, then add water for lockdown. Hope that helps.
