Hi I have a 10 day old chick that I was told to be a lavender leghorn, would anyone be able to confirm this for me?
If not does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?
Is it possible to tell the gender or is it still too early?

Definitely not a lavender anything. Where did you get it?

we hatched our first set of eggs recently, we were in contact with a vet who got them for us we were given ‘lavender leghorn’ eggs and cuckoo maran eggs.

Not a cuckoo Marans either. Any idea if the Leghorns and Marans are separated, or is it a mixed flock?
No we have two other cuckoo maran chicks. We have 3 all together this one and the two cuckoo marans. They are all together in the brooder at the moment.

It looks like an Australorp. They are really good layers and go bloody every once and a while. My girls lay almost every day and they lay great during the winter.
Do australorps lay white eggs? That’s what this one hatched from.
