Is this a normal SLW feature?

At first I thought this spot was on one side of my chick;s head and was a flake of a shaving,so I looked closer. It's on both sides, and is in her feathers. Looks like an "ear" spot. Is this a normal feature of what' supposed to be a silver-laced wyandotte? She's about 6 weeks old.

Are you talking about the white circle ? Thats where the ears are.

I wondered because none of the other breeds I have show a spot of a different color where their ears are. Thanks for reassuring me.

It looks more prominent because yours is darker around the head so it stands out more than one with a whiter head.
