Is this a pepper plant? I planted pepper seeds from a grocery store bell pepper, but this looks more like a tomato to me, although I don’t see how that could be possible. I have tomatoes, but very far away from this plant, and I have never had any tomato seeds. Is this a pepper plant, or might it be something else? Thanks!

Looks to me like it could be an eggplant. Not a conventional purple globe one but there are varieties with round shapes and there are varieties that are white and striped, etc.

Are the leaves pleasantly fuzzy? What do the blossoms look like?

The blooms were white and looked similar to tomato blooms.

Eggplant is in the same Solanaceae or nightshade family with tomatoes so it makes sense that the blossoms are similar. The leaves of eggplants are more pleasantly fuzzy than the scratchy, beard-like hair on tomato leaves, however.
