We've got 6 chickens and trying to figure out breed and gender of each.

Is this a Rhode Island Red Hen?

I would say hatchery RIR...which is named production red

Lots a Cluckin, thank you for the quick reply. Glad to hear we were at least in the ballpark with our guess. Thankfully the Internet has been really helpful trying to figure out breed. You would agree this chicken is a hen / pullet right? She is about 5 or 6 months old.

I think it is a very dark production red.

Hen. Whatever type of hatchery red---rhode island/new hampshire/production red/cherry egger. Nice brown egg layers.
