Is this a rooster or just a black barred rock?

My chicks are about 1 month old now. I have been noticing that my one chick is almost fully black, yet it is supposed to be a barred rock. I have had them before, and never had a fully black barred rock. Thanks for any input!

By definition or according the Standard written for the breed, yes, a Barred Rock has to have bars.

I'm not sure where you got this chick?

I got them at TSC, last year I got them at Soldans. I also got my turkeys from Soldans this year.

Could it be a black sex link pullet?

It could be, but over the past few days, it has been getting its bars in lately, not that much, but still it is getting them in. Thanks for the suggestions though.
