I have two 3 month-old EEs, part black Ameraucana and part something else. I thought it was black cochin because of the heavy leg feathers but I see some whitish feathers poking from some spots on one of them so I'm not sure. Can someone please tell me if they have an idea on the breed. Also I think one is going to be a rooster, but I don't know for sure so can someone look at these pictures and try to figure it out? The thought-to-be roo is much larger than his sister and with more leg feathers. His sister is frizzled so you can't see the difference, but it is there when you hold them. Please tell me if he is roo!!!!!!!

It is a three ridged comb like the roos have

I am not the best for this, but I would say Rooster for the first one...

that is a roo, and I would say definite cochin x ameraucana(or ee) because of the frizzled feathers.

sorry for the hurry looking title, I've been looking for an answer for a long time and was being skipped, didn't think it was fair, sorry!

thanks for answering

where are the white feathers coming from?

sorry, I was getting skipped and I was afraid no one would answer, really sorry, just anxious.

I won't do it again.

Looks like a pullet and a cockerel to me. I would guess that they are Cochin crosses with that heavy of leg feathering. I am a bit surprised that their combs didn't turn out a little funky.

Yes, looks like a black EE rooster. You do have a frizzle as well. Feathered foot bird, most likely Cochin/Cochin mix.
