I am a new Chicken owner. We thought we got all girls. The store associated the wings and tried to get girls. They are now 10-11 weeks old. The combs and waddles have been red for quite some time. Still hold My out hope that they are hens.

I have cockerels and he/she does look like a cockerel. However by now you should of heard some attempt at a cockerdoodledoo as my chicks start at about 8 weeks. Often cockerels are bigger what breed is she/he ??

Not sure. I’m thinking a Barred rock.

Thanks! I have been. I understand you can start to tell by the sadle feathers but I can’t see it in my birds yet. Also they say roosters are more grey on white. One of my has a grey head but a more black body. The other one has a black body. But they both have larger red combs and waddels and have since about 7 weeks.
