When I got my Red Rock Cross chicks I noticed that one of the chicks had a white spot on her head I read that if a RRC chick has a white spot on her head it is a male. I didn't know for sure that it was a male so I decided to wait until it started crowing but I now noticed that his comb is bigger then the rest of the chicks combs here is a picture of him:

Here is a picture of what the rest of the chicks look like:

So what do you guys think male or female???

Yep, those are black sex links and the white spot on the head at hatch indicates a male. It's what a barred bird looks like at hatch.

Ok so why is there a black sex lick in with Red Rock Crosses???

I'm glad he is a rooster!:)

I believe the red rock IS a sex link cross. A red rooster over a barred rock hen is the classic black sex link mix. Your hens are black sex link hens, aka red rock crosses. The entire purpose of the cross is to be able to sex chicks at hatch. Females hatch with solid colored heads and males hatch with a white spot on the head. Red rock is a "brand name" for a black sex link cross, same as "black star". Common names for red sex links are cinnamon queen, red star, golden comet.
