Hello Everyone,
Im a new chicken owner and learning new things with these guys. I have two buff Orpingtons that were given to me and Im having a ball with them. Anyway was wondering if my one girl is a guy? I looked online at different photos but I'm still having trouble telling if its a hen or rooster?

They are not that old maybe 4 months or less they are just within last week or two the combs getting red and near thier ears also turning red. I just noticed that the one gal has larger comb and waddles. Hope I'm getting all the terminology right. They haven't laid any eggs yet but I'm hoping for any day now.

Her face isn't red enough, nor have her comb and wattles come in fully yet.

Yes, pullets starting to have their combs color up. I'd say it will be several weeks before you seen an egg.

Weeks to wait for eggs....no! I tell them everyday where are my eggs and they turns their heads sideways and eye me while chattering. They are fun and easy to care for. I love it when they see me they come running. Makes me laugh. Thanks for the help!
