So my hen Sam became sick going on 2 weeks now first with looking bloated and walking slowly and seemed a little lethargic.her wings were hanging almost to the ground. Still laying eggs but she was not pooping much I thought it was a crop issue because it was hard and about the size of a golf ball in the morning but that resolved she also had some mites so I treated her for mites and dewormed her. Her poop looked normal but now is almost diarrhea. Kinda brown and green I see no signs of worms. She was like this for 4-5 days and she had no feathers over her crop area. Then she started stumbling and it got worse, she can't stand but she can kick a lot. She is more alert and is eating and drinking. I am giving vitamins for any deficiencies she may have. It's going on 2 weeks since this started today when I put her in the bath I noticed she has no feathers on her entire belly side. I have not seen feathers in her bed when I clean so I think she is eating them. Her breast bone is very prominent. She is very light. Her regular diet is crumble feed with some scratch once a day, and a fruit or vegetable a few times a week. She is a free range 4-6 hours a day. All my other chickens are fine. Now that she is sick I give her her feed and some scrambled eggs. I have given electrolytes, nutra drench, vit e, b complex selenium, d3 silver, I have seen no improvement. Is this mareks? I don't want to give up on her yet but I do want her to suffer. She is 26 weeks old and the rest of her flock are all as young or younger than she is. She is an Ayam Cemani. My question is the feathers that are now completely gone from her belly side a sign of Mareks? What else can I do for her? TIA

Yes I did and I replied. I am asking about the fact that since I posted that is Sam now having all the feathers on her belly side a sign of Mareks? I am still not sure that is what it is and I don't want to give up on her yet. Is there some other illnesses that she can recover from that could be the cause. I am starting to wonder because I have 2 chicks that are 5 weeks and have been exposed to Sam and are fine. So what else could this be?

Feathers missing would not particularly indicate Marek's.

She's laying down a lot, so maybe they are getting rubbed off.
That makes sense. She is still eating and drinking I am giving her vitamins and keep her clean. The slings I have tried to make are a mess haha so I ordered her one. I just pick her up every hour and hold her up for a bit and reposition her for now. Thank you for your reply
