Is this a turken…

Hi. Hope you can tell…tried to get best pics I could. Is this a turken? Egg was rather large that it hatched from. The ‘white’ on the back of the head is just from the inside of the shell….but this little one is void of lots of down. Seems to be behaving normal so far… Is it ok???

Give it time to dry and then take more photos, out of the incubator, bit hard to see while it's in there

Where did you get the eggs? Was there a possibility of parents being naked necked?

It look's like a turken to me. Turken's also have less feathering on the bodies than the fully feathered breed's do. How much feathering on the neck after it dies off will determine how strong the Naked Neck gene that it has is.

yes…I got it from someone who has naked neck birds in their flock

Naked neck's is just another name for the turkens. Your's look's to be a mix with a fully feathered neck breed that only got one copy of the naked neck gene, as it has a pretty big bib.

Naked neck is the proper name for turkens. Just like rabbit is the proper name for bunnies.
