I have a 5 month old male Saxony and he seems to have developed a spot on his right flipper. The spot is on top, not the bottom, and originally looked like a small dry/scaly patch. Today during flipper inspection, the patch is still there but is now raised.

It does not seem to be bothering him in anyway. He continues to walk, eat, chase the girls, or in most cases run from them with no problems.

Do you have any drawing cream? It could be a thorn, sticker or nothing but soaking In a bucket of Warm epsom salt water might help you feel for something the ES will help soften the skin.

I was wondering if an Epsom salt soak would help. As far as I can tell there isn't anything in there, like a thorn or sticker.

What is drawing cream?

Vet was awesome and so were the techs, all instantly fell in love with my feathered babies. At first he was a little stumped and mentioned he had never seen anything like it but was game to find a solution. Other than the mess on the webbing, they are perfectly healthy. He used blacklight on the spots and they lit up neon green confirming a fungal infection. He also took a scraping to rule out mites, didn't see anything under the scope. But wanted to play it safe and He prescribed Tresaderm for them, he mentioned that it was good for fungal infections and mites. So far so good, but they only have had three doses so far. Here is hoping this works, because the vet said the next step would be to put them under, scrape it off, and treat it that way. Fingers crossed the antibiotics work.

Took them for a shopping trip at Tractor supply after the vet visit.
