OH.
Ok so I thought I had a Partridge Rock but I've been getting this color egg from one of my girls

the color is a lot darker it seems like in real. My lighting is bad, anyway this egg could only be coming from that chicken which ever it is a PR or welsummer because the other breeds I got are Columbian rocks, buff orphingtons, and a EE? ???? Any help will be appreciated thanks

Oh sorry that was bad explaining I meant to ask if that was a welsummer egg, I was wondering if I have a welsummer but I didn't think I did. I thought I had a PR but this looks like a welsummer egg. So is this cutie a welsummer or PR ? I didn't think PRs would lay that dark so I'm curious if anyone else knows? ??thanks and sorry for the bad explanation

I don't think it's either. Both those breeds have yellow legs, your bird looks like it has gray legs? It could be a mix.

Not in my experience. My Rocks all lay regular light brown eggs, no matter the variety.

But, if that's all the birds you have, and your EE is laying colored eggs, then it's got to come from one of your Rocks. Guess you lucked out

Lol, it is my PR I believe I saw her trying to squeeze in with the others to lay. My orphingtons and my new EE have not started laying yet just my rocks. My old birds are still surprising too! :D I'm so happy, 5 out of my 8 birds are laying, 3 out of my 6 new ones and my two old ones, love the beautiful colors of their eggs. I hoping my other EE will lay some beautiful eggs too.
