I was given this gal yesterday and just wanted to find out what it might be. When I was told about her she was described as a buff orpington. I'm not expert but I'm pretty sure that's not what she is. Maybe a white EE? Could she be a bantam? She is quite a bit smaller than my australorps that are nearly the same age.

Looks like a white EE to me but I don't raise chickens so don't have any personal experience

I'm just going off of what I've learned from reading on here. Her legs are a greenish color if that helps.

Thanks for the input. I'm learning as I go.

Lizanne, sorry, we must have been posting at the same time. I have a buff orp and this is quite obviously a different bird. That is just what the previous owner called it. Her other birds are hatchery bought araucana/ameracauna's so I figured this one was probably a white EE. Just thought I'd ask here to kind of get a different opinion. She has a smallish body compared to my buff and australorps but I think she is a really good looking bird and aside from adapting to the move from a small yard tractor to a large run she is showing a lot of personality.

Can't wait til all my birds start laying.

Oh yes, EE for sure! A pure white EE is definately on my list to get in the future. It's very hard to find them all white like this.

I seen a white EE chick last year at the store and I'm kicking myself for not bringing her home!
