I split an order of Americaunas with a friend and this little chick part of the 12. No free "mystery chick" so as far as we know, they are all EE's. The rest have that chipmunk-y look, but one of them is snowy white with a tiny black speck on her back.

Is there really THAT much variation in EE chicks? Or could this little bugger be something else entirely?

Do you have a picture? Do they have fluffy cheeks? EE can be any kind of colors. Do a search on here and you'll see the pics people have posted of them.

I would love to get a look at her - post some pics when you get a chance. My EE's are all different colors. I have 3 total, one with a lot of white in her, one with a lot of yellow in her and one with a lot of brown in her.

HEre's a pic from last week---- not the best, but you can see there's nothing but white on her!

hmmm...I don't "see" any muffs on her, but they might just have blended in with her white fluff! Also, her legs look yellow/white to me. White chicks are really hard to photograph, so it is hard to tell. If you could get a "head-on" shot, that might work better.

Whatever she is, she's a pretty little chick!

I know that EE's come in a variety fo different colors, I have three myself and each are different. But that looks like what my California White chick looked like at that age. She did have more than one black spot though. Mine is maturing to be all white and she will lay white eggs.

What color of legs does your have? The california white has yellow legs but the EE's all have green.

Here is a picture, not the best. I had a group shot and cut her out to show you.

Yours may still be an EE as there are a LOT of different colors. Maybe someone else will know better.

The legs are not green so not an EE.

Maybe that was the free chick that you guys thought you didn't get. I have no clue what breed it might be, but it does not look like an EE to me. There are white EEs, but it should still have the green legs and muffs on its cheeks, I would think.

Ummm... none of their legs are green! We bought them from Ideal as Americaunas....aren't those the same as Easter Eggers? Because they lay colored eggs? Maybe I have my terminology mixed up. But in any case, she looks NOTHING like the other 11 chicks in the batch, who all have that cute chimpmunk look.

What do you think?
