Is this beak rot in my duck?

Hi. My duck is 10 weeks old. I’m very concerned as he has developed what look like bruises on his beak that peel. In some areas his beak has turned white. Please see the photo. What is this?

Closer pictures, in better lighting, would be better, so we can better understand the extent of the bruises, but, judging from the current photo, it looks like its just that, some bruises/scuff marks, possibly from sticking their bills through the wire, or knocking it on something. I don't see any "rotting" bill flesh.
