She got a peck on her nose, but im starting to think is this blackhead then it got pecked to form this scab ? Shes acting lethargic, droopy wing, ruffling feathers. Can tell a raspiness in her voice. Approximately 2 months old.

Already lost one last week… her sister. app 2 months old, drooping wings, not looking lively, feathers dry / ruffled.. 3-4 days from noticing activity to dead in the coop

Also body feels thin. She has been eating & drinking. But can tell it’s pretty nuch eating her inside out. I dont wana cull until experts chime in though

Fowl pox doesn't usually kill them, so it's possible it has blackhead (histomoniasis), coccidiosis, worms, bacterial infection, or a combo of those.

Reason I went to blackhead first is i know once a flock has been infected, 75-100% will be knocked out over course of time. Lost one, now possibly losing another. If this one does die i will get it necropsy. The bird flu hasnt hit anywhere close to here… its kinda like CWD with deer. Were aware but not letting it ruin the sport either.

Ive seen blackhead wipe out our wild turkey population several times. Im an avid turkey hunter and can tell the years we got hit other than statistics that the game wardens tell us.

Fowl pox and possibly coccidiosis, the pox is not dangerous but the cocci will damage the small intestine and make it impossible for the birds to absorb nutrients causing thin carcass and diarrhea. What color is the feces? Treat with Corid Amprolium in the water for Cocci and give penicillin at 250 mg orally per day to deal with secondary infections. I have found this to work for me for both cocci and blackhead.
